Miners Put On Trial

The leaders of the uprising were sought out and put on trial to try to put an end to attempts to unionize. During the trial of Bill Blizzard, a key piece of evidence that aided his aquittal was an unexploded pipe bomb like many others that were dropped among fighting miners. Many of which, did not explode, thus allowing for their presentation in court as evidence of the blatant cruelty that miners were being faced with (Staff. (n.d.). National).
