Title: Vote for Jay
Description: John "Jay" Rockefeller IV was elected to be governor of West Virginia for two terms, in 1976 and 1980. This poster does not have a year, but it does say "Vote for Jay You know he'll work for you!" a simple, yet effective campaign slogan. It also says "Democrat for Governor," indicating that it may be from his first race when a Republican, Arch Moore, had just completed two terms as governor. The poster itself is also very similar in design to Jimmy Carter's 1976 presidential campaign poster. Looking closer at the poster, at the very bottom, there is a "Paid for by the Rockefeller for Governor Committee" stamp.
