The Outcome

A decade later, Unions began to flourish from Roosevelts New Deal after the Great Depression. The American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organization supported unions and allowed them by law. Shortly after such legislation and organization of labor, other unions followed suit.

The men who gave their lives in the Battle of Blair Mountain and conflicts surrounding the event, attributed to such privileges we have today. Today we honor them and give thanks to their will to fight and vision for a brighter future. Their fighting spirit is what we all share as Americans and a prerequisite to the American dream.
